Serving people locally

As a central plank in our strategy to achieve this we employ Zoe Stewart as our Community Pastor. Her role encompasses the various ministries that enable us to extend our reach beyond ourselves. She leads, builds and encourages teams of people to reach out with Jesus’ love! She investigates opportunities of engagement with the community so that we can bring Jesus’ love as powerfully as we can to those in need around us!

Achieving this through formal and informal means takes focus, energy, prayer, sacrifice and action.

There are a series of ministries we have developed that enable us to reach our community effectively. Whether it is through Mainly Music, our personal connections to community organisations like sporting and service clubs, through Scripture in Schools, Marriage Seminars,  Search for Life, or through the informal networks of our friends, the Great Commission of Christ to make disciples calls us forward.

Ps. Zoe leads our Christians Against Poverty (CAP) ministry where we have seen many people freed from the crippling burden of debt and some give their lives to Christ! Richard Deck leads our CAP Money ministry, a budgeting seminar offered 3 times a year, with great results helping people get their finances in order. Ps Justin leads our CAP Job Club program, building people with the skills and confidence that they need to be able to find employment

The Marriage Course, Search For Life and other life-related courses continue to prove effective in touching people’s lives as well as giving tools to live by. This year we are continuing our programmed Parenting Courses to further reach into our community.
