Each year, C3 Church Carlingford receives a Thanksgiving Offering in worship & recognition of all that God has done for us. 100% of this offering is given to different local community groups.
This year we are planning to give our Thanksgiving Offering to four community groups and services:
Carlingford High School:
In 2018 it will be a requirement of all Year 11 students to provide their own screen device for school work. Each year there are students who, for whatever reason are unable to do this and have in the past had access to school loan laptops. These devices are now old and out of date so we are planning to give to fill this gap within the school. We hope to raise funds to buy 10 new laptops which will be loaned through the school to students as needed.
Motor Neurone Disease Association:
We would like to contribute some funds this year to assist in purchasing a hoist for the loan equipment pool at MND.
Kelly’s is an accommodation service for single women experiencing homelessness. We are looking to provide funds to enable the women to participate in a healing program making Trauma Quilts.
This is a small local social enterprise that teaches people to ride a bike and provides free hire on Fridays. It encourages skills and confidence to those who would otherwise not have this health giving experience. Addventageous is currently embarking on a program to train community bike mechanics as a pathway to employment. They will in turn rebuild bikes for the community. We are aiming to supply 5 tool kits to those undertaking the training.
