Acts 5:12–16
12 The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade. 13 No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. 14 Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. 15 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. 16 Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.
In Ephesians Paul reminds us that God is “able to cheap cialis online do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” That is what we are seeing here with the amazing signs and wonders the apostles were performing, and that is also what God can work through us. I am impressed by verses 13-14, which say that no-one else (ie. half-hearted or non-believers) dared to join the group of believers until they themselves were saved. Do we have such presence that God’s power in us is seen by those around us?
Lord, help me to truly believe that your power can work through me. Help me to pray in line with your will so that I am doing the things you want me to do.
